Shakshuka and member special

Shakshuka. I've been feasting on Shakshuka, a staple in North Africa and the Middle East. I've made a few variations: one with eggs, kale, and spinach, another with lentils added to the mix, and of course the classic version with just eggs. There are so many options to try with this quick and easy dish, and it's great any time of day.

Other nut flours. Someone recently asked me what to do with some pecan and walnut flour they were gifted. It's possible to swap nut flours in recipes, but it also depends on the recipe. If the nut flours are finely ground you can usually use them in place of finely ground almond flour in bread, scone, and muffin recipes. Another option is to make a blend of nut flours. For example, I often add walnuts to my banana breads and so I can see replacing a bit of the almond flour with walnut flour.

Cookbooks | Recipes | Videos Invisible Apple Cake {gâteau invisible aux pommes} Here's my grain-free take on invisible apple cake, or gâteau invisible aux pommes. The original recipe went viral after appearing on a French food blog. I just recently discovered it and realized it would make a great grain-free cake. It's simple to make, moist, light, and tender, and has a custard texture. The thin slices of apple are held together with a small amount of cake batter and as the cake bakes they...

Cookbooks | Recipes | Videos Pumpkin Bread {coconut flour} An oversight was quickly fixed. I now have a pumpkin bread recipe using just coconut flour. I love the texture and flavor and hope you will also. It's based on my pumpkin muffins using coconut flour, and both recipes have been updated with a bit less sweetener and a bit more baking soda. Light, airy, spicy. Seafood Porridge {grain-free} Seafood porridge. This recipe is inspired by a savory rice porridge I recently had at a congee...

Cookbooks | Recipes | Videos Pumpkin Blondies This week I did some retesting of my Pumpkin Blondies recipe after a few folks mentioned that their batter was on the runny side. I tested with less pumpkin, less sweetener, and I have to say I prefer the original recipe. I also use almond butter with no added oil that tends to be on the thick side. All that said, if you want to thicken the batter, reduce the sweetener, or both, I've added all my tips to the recipe notes. FREE Guide. If you've...
