Not sure if you're feeling it, but I am. It's a really busy time of year, with travel, gatherings, weather changes, daylight changes, and lots of food.
My goal this time of year is to keep up with yoga, get outside, get enough sleep, read, laugh, play, and eat food that makes me feel good.
To help you eat well during this holiday season, I have a collection of holiday recipes. Of course any recipe can become a holiday recipe, so make what you love. It's the spirit and connection with family and friends that make it special.
Wishing you good food and laughs.
Warmly,
Erica
Holiday Recipes on Comfy Belly
Holiday Recipes. As we approach the holidays, I love to share my collection of grain-free, gluten-free, and dairy-free holiday recipes. Some of these recipes are free, some also appear in my cookbooks, and some are member recipes.
Whether you're making meals for yourself, a small crowd, or a big one, here are some tips that have helped me over the years.
Test new recipes at least a few days before.
Plan ahead and mark it on your calendar.
Create a checklist and mark stuff off as you go.
Say yes to anyone who wants to bring food.
Ask for help with the preparation.
Make stuff ahead. Cranberry sauce, pies, and sides can be made ahead, and vegetables can be chopped and prepped for cooking ahead of time.
If something flops, let it go. Or turn it into something else.
Make more than you need so you have leftovers for the next few days, and to freeze for later.
Free recipe of the week! If you love banana bread and chocolate, I think you'll like this rendition of my well-loved banana bread recipe using the same ingredients, almond and coconut flour, plus cacao or cocoa.

Cookbooks | Recipes | Videos Pecan Sandies Do you have any memories of pecan sandies from a box? I remember the buttery, crumbly, and nutty taste, all in a single bite. Here's my rendition using toasted pecans, maple syrup or honey, and a mix of almond and coconut flour to keep things on the light and slightly crumbly side. This recipe is free for a week so get it while it's available if you're not a member. And let me know if you try it. Dough Slicing Tips. While chilling my dough I got to...
Cookbooks | Recipes | Videos Skillet Cornbread using corn meal Here's a recipe for gluten-free corn bread that works really well in a skillet. I use a mix of cornmeal and coconut flour, so this recipe is gluten-free but not grain-free. This is a member recipe. You can make any of my no-corn cornbread recipes in a skillet. The trick is to grease the skillet generously with butter or plant-based butter and then warm it up before adding the batter. I have a handful of grain-based recipes, and...
Cookbooks | Recipes | Videos Creamed Kale {dairy-free} Hello! I have a new member recipe and a new free recipe for you this week. Creamed kale is similar but not the same as creamed spinach, and the nutrient profile is a bit different. If you're trying to get more vitamin C, K, and calcium into your body, pivot to kale. I also offer two ways to "tame" kale, meaning get rid of the slight bitterness and tenderize it. They're both easy and so is the recipe. This is a member recipe. Back from the...
